The name 'mpr5' is too short and too generic for a text search of the literature to be specific. Measured here: a text search for 'mpr5' returns 26 papers, and NOT ONE is about this sRNA — every one of them contains 'mmpR5' (Rv0678, bedaquiline resistance), of which 'mpr5' is a substring.
Read with care. Neither studied nor unstudied: UNDECIDED by this method. Reading it as an absence would be a false negative, reading the hit count as a presence a false positive.
Sweep: tbmonitor TB corpus (~330k PubMed abstracts), name sweep of 2026-08-10; positive controls MTS2823 (6 papers), mcr11 (3), Mcr7 (2) all returned hits, so a zero here is a measured absence and not a broken query.
